FROM THE BOAT TO THE TABLE
Locally Sourced Seafood Handled with Respect
With boasting views of Offatts Bayou, we aim to deliver when it comes to our seafood. Our dinner menu offers Jumbo Shrimp, Snapper, Yellow Fin Tuna, and Line-Caught Yellow Edge Grouper, all of which are sourced from Katie’s Seafood Market. The 20-year-old fish market on Pier 19 is known for their quality of product and recently became a household name due to their National Geographic show called, “Big Fish, Texas.” For the sake of providing the freshest product, orders are placed into the market daily so that our Guests can enjoy appetizers such as the Grand Amuse Bowl. The plethora of seafood on this appetizer can capture and satisfy any seafood lovers heart. Bursting with Red King Crab, Lobster Tails, Blue Crab Fingers, Shrimp, Oysters, and Tuna Poke, it’s an impressive item to share with friends.
A Little Something Extra
The secret of great seafood cooking is to buy the best fish in season. Throughout the year, we consistently maintain contact with sources who provide off the menu seafood items to deliver something special for our Guests. Stay informed by subscribing to our Weekly Newsletter and be on the lookout for Dungeness Crab from Washington, Florida Stone Crab Claws, Wahoo Fish, Tile Fish, Scallops, and Amber Jack.
WE’RE NOT SHELLFISH WITH OUR SEAFOOD
East Coast Oysters
Number 13 offers a unique experience when it comes to oysters. We not only bring in locally home-grown Gulf oysters, such as Hannah’s Reef, but also offer a variety of the East Coasts’ finest. Winter Points, Cupid’s Choice, Wellfleet, and Malpeque are just a few of the oysters you can experience at Number 13. Freshly shucked upon each order, our selection is clearly displayed near the bar so that you can mix and match the oysters however you desire. Only at Number 13 can you experience tastes from the East Coast while taking in beautiful views of Offatts Bayou.
That’s Not All
On the menu, we also offer Maine Lobster, Red King Crab from The Dutch Harbor, and Prince Edward Island Mussels. Our mussels grow naturally in Canada’s nutrient-rich waters and are self-sustained with no feed or additives. Not only are they healthy and rich in protein and minerals, but the preparation by our artisan chefs is what sets them apart from the rest. After they slowly render house-cured bacon in a sauté pan, the mussels are added along with garlic, shallots, and Calabrese peppers. Cue the champagne, parsley, salt, pepper and butter and serve with house baked focaccia bread. Trust us when we say that you’ll have more than enough to share with company.
